Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 ESV

joy

This morning as I was finding joy in my first sips of coffee it occurred to me that I don't express much joy over the little things.  So I decided to make a list of the small joys I get to experience each day.  Simple pleasures, if you will.

-Coffee drinking while Bible reading.
-Those first sleepy faced hugs and kissed I get from the boys in the morning.
-The equally sleepy pleas for one more story at bed time.
-10 minutes in the shower where I hear nothing but running water.
-Judah 'talking', squealing with delight and laughing with his brothers.
-Spiderman and/or Superman coming downstairs to visit.
-Praise music on my ipod.
-Magazines sent to us by people in the States, even if they are a year old (or older).
-That first instant when I lay my head on my pillow at night and I get to completely relax and knowing I have a whole night of sleep ahead of me.

So many more but that is good for today.  What do you find joy in?

Good stuff - you have a great list started! Another joy - hearing my children playing together without argument or obeying the first time sure brings smiles to my face as well as waking up and looking at the clock and realizing that I did get more than 4 hours of sleep! WOW - God is good with His small blessings of daily bits of JOY - isn't he - thanks for helping me think through some of them.

joy for me right now: Charlie laughing! Laying down at night with Jason beside me.
