Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 ESV

date night

Our friends D and E have challenged us to date through the alphabet.  Each date night we will choose activities that begin with a letter of the alphabet going A-Z.  Last night was our 'B' date--we had an 'A' date a few weeks ago but our attempt to do A activities was really pathetic, so it wasn't blog worthy at all.  This week we decided we really wanted to give it a try.  We needed a good challenge to try new things during our dates so we don't end up doing the same thing we always do--either go to Old Town or et at a local restaurant and go to Walmart.

For our 'B' date we first walked to the Bird and Flower market.  I really want to get a few house plants to liven things up so I just wanted to see what they had to offer.  Then we walked to the Bai restaurant beside the Bridge--the restaurant has an actual name but since we can rarely remember actual restaurant names we give them our own--and had some wonderful food while over looking the river.  Next we went to a little dessert place called Bread Party.  We enjoyed a little something sweet and had thought to play a board game but since it had to fit in my purse we took cards.  I thought about taking Skip-Bo, but the boys have lost several cards from that set so instead we played Canasta Caliente.  Maybe we can use that as a bridge to our next date when we go for 'C'...?

I challenge you all to date through the alphabet.  It will have you thinking about different and new things to do on your dates.  If you are like us and usually get a date every other week then it will take you through a whole year of dating.  If you get one a month you could always combine and do a couple of letters each time.  Anybody want to join in?  I can't wait to see what we come up with for our 'C' date!
