Today I really wanted to do a great list of all the things I am thankful for. I was even going to try to write it ahead of time since I knew today was going to be busy. But since I was a tornado of cooking and cleaning yesterday and most of today, I'm tired. I'm not washing dishes, I'm not vacuuming crumbs, I'm just going to go watch Christmas Vacation in my bed with my wonderful husband and drink apple cider (with red hots just like Stan likes it). But I did want to do a little mini thankful list because today I did have the opportunity to reflect on the many things I have to be thankful for.
-The Lord saved me and nothing can change that.
-I have a wonderful husband and sons.
-We have great families, that we wish we could be with today.
-I am blessed with many friends, near and far.
-We got to eat turkey and have some left over, this is huge when you can only get it once a year.
I know the last one is silly but I'm serious. Those are the things that made being away from our family a little easier. We had a wonderful meal with good friends.
Thank you Lord.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.
Psalm 107:1
