Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 ESV

Jesus, Thank You

This is a song that I have sung countless times, but this Sunday it was just the words I needed. Meant to share a couple of days ago but it's been raining here since Friday which means 'by law' I have to take a nap. You know you do it too!

Jesus, Thank You

The mystery of the cross
I can not comprehend,
The agonies of Calvary.
You, the perfect Holy One,
Crushed Your Son,
Who drank the bitter cup
Reserved for me.

Your blood has washed away my sin.
Jesus, thank you.
The Father's wrath completely satisfied,
Jesus, thank you.
Once your enemy,
Now seated at Your table,
Jesus, thank you.

By Your perfect sacrifice
I've been brought near.
Your enemy You've made Your friend.
Pouring out the riches of Your glorious grace,
Your mercy and Your kindness know no end.

Your blood has washed away my sin.
Jesus, thank you.
The Father's wrath completely satisfied,
Jesus, thank you.
Once your enemy,
Now seated at Your table,
Jesus, thank you.

yes, that song always brings tears to my eyes....if i sing it with an honest heart. i am glad that you have that truth in your heart over there without a building to sing it in with others.
